This site uses the Genesis child theme Monochrome Pro on WordPress. This theme is very lightweight and loads very fast. By using a Genesis theme updates can be applied without worrying about changing the design.
Currently, WordPress is updating the core code and the way users can apply custom design additions and changes without knowing code.
As WordPress updates its code, Genesis will update the parent theme without touching the child (in this case Monochrome Pro) theme where the design coding is located. This is a very safe way to manage and maintain the site as Genesis keeps pace with WordPress updates.
